Hi recordists, I recently was out on=A0Polihale beach recording the big sur= f pounding the Island of Kaua`i. While hand-holding the mic's in my SASS ri= g to get close-up wave-wash, a wave surprised me and the SASS got=A0splashe= d. The mic's momentarily sputtered out, then started to recover in=A02-3 se= conds. I dried them thoroughly with a hair dryer when I got home, and they = sound fine now. However,=A0with hydrophilic salt in the mic's, in however m= inute an amount, I'm concerned about future deterioration. I'm wondering ab= out dipping them in alcohol. Anybody got advice? =A0 Thanks, David =A0>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> David Kuhn www.soundshawaiian.com 808 335 0398 Cell 808 651 8247 Mail to: PO Box 1018 Waimea, Kaua'i HI 96796 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< |
