Hi Mike! It records in two gig 'bites' or smaller, up to the capacity of the card. I don't recall having to 'set' anything; I think it does this by default. Mine is out in the car at the moment, and as it's pouring with rain and I'm not dressed (!) I won't be running out there to check!
