Ears Canada makes an alternative for timed operation of the 722. The timer =
can register up to 50 start/stop times, set as far as 365 days in advance. =
The record timer that's built into the 722 can hold a single start/stop pa=
ir, and the start time can't be more than 24 hours in advance (I'm not sure=
if there's a 24 hour limit on setting the stop time.)

Price is $675 in Canadian dollars, or about $630 US dollars at today's exch=
ange rate. The timer is built into a weatherproof box. An external 12V DC =
power supply is required.

There is precious little additional information about the Ears Canada timer=
online. So I don't know if this timer is able to "wake up" the 722 from a=
powered off condition. The 722's built-in timer requires that the recorde=
r be left running.
