Hi John,

Yes, I can understand that everyone dreams of a universal recorder that is =
very small, has superior built-in microphones, very low-noise mic inputs an=
d also a very long battery life, which costs next to nothing :)

According to my own experience in electronics, it is however extremely diff=
icult to integrate all these requirements into a single unit. As in many ot=
her fields of technology, there are numerous technical constraints that for=
ce the designers to make certain compromises. Considering these problems, I=
believe that Sony did a great job with their new PCM-M10.

Raimund
