Thanks for this Ray. I have just found via Google this page:

which states a file size limit of 4 gig. This appears to refer to recording=
, but I imagine must be global. This only increases my puzzlement. Re my ot=
her query, I have just spoken to SVC in London re the FR2, and they confirm=
 that once a 2 gig limit is reached (with that figure set in Menu) recordin=
g stops, and does not automatically start a new one.
