I looked up all the ten (or so) frog and toad species found in my area of C= entral Illinois and could not find a match. At first I thought this was ma= ybe a Wild Turkey until I asked a hunting friend. The full sequence was 8 1/2 minutes long, I simply cut out a 30" segment to= post here. I here this sound in the woods a lot but until I got this remote recording = I just thought it was a bird but the more I listened the less I think so. = Any help with the ID would be appreciated. I hear it in the woods, not just= near the marsh. http://www.stancourtney.com/sounds/2009.09.25__01.mp3 Stan Courtney_Central Illinois |
