I made one a couple of days ago and crammed it into an old Edirol CS15 hous=
ing.
http://www.roland.com/products/en/CS-15/
The figure 8 capsule is made from a TBone EM700 Stereo Set cardoid, the res=
istive material behind the backplate is removed and the holes aligned. Im n=
ot sure if its "good" figure 8, lacking any reference material besides the =
NT2A, and since that uses dual diaphragms its perhaps not a good or true fi=
gure 8.
Hence I would like to ask the group if anyone has an undecoded? recording i=
n ms format I could take a peep at, short sample would be great, preferably=
moving the mic around to get some idea of how the same source sounds from =
different angles.
Heres the figure 8:

(fig8 powered via a battery box -> fostex FR2LE)
The mp3 above is not from the MS mic, but NT1A and the fig8 capsule. The mi=
ni blumlien mic on the micbuilders forum is the same design using two of th=
em, which Im currently evaluating if the method will work for a soundfield =
mic.
While Im here, is double MS possible with large mics such as the NT2A and a=
couple of NT1A's ?

Mike.
