every now and then i spot an at3032 for sale (on ebay or craig's list) and i'm always tempted to pick it up. i currently do most of my recordings with omnis (dpa 4060's) and i'm wondering if buying them would make any sense, or if i'm just attracted because i know they're hard to come by. can anyone give me a good excuse to buy another pair of low-noise omnis, or convince me that i don't need them / won't use them if i've already got the 4060's? i know the 3032's are technically quieter than the 4060's, but i don't know how they compare sound-wise... perhaps if i'm going to spend anything at all i should look for something other than omnis... talk some sense into me, please. patrick. -- ||| www.murmerings.com ||| |
