I picked up a pair of capsules from frogloggers.com to build a mini
jecklin stereo setup... they're affordable & quite nice sounding:

You probably want to take a look at the model Model FL 158
<http://frogloggers.com/FL%20158%20Microphone.htm> , since it is built
for outdoor recording in humid conditions & would work quite well for
insects.
