I also do this professionally. I can deliver 48 channels of audio
with real-time spatialization from a single minimac, or 64 without. I
have written some nifty real-time soundscape generation software
which can make wind simulations and lots of other interesting
transformations.
I have some interesting speakers which can deliver focused beams of
sound, or diffuse through the entire area to create immersive
realism.  It can be indexed to time of day or time of year so that
only seasonally appropriate sounds are delivered. This can be done at
a modest cost but it is more fun if it is not.
