Hi Mike,
I like your idea about the east side of the peninsula, though besides highw=
ay 101 the noise from the towns along the peninsula might dominate. The bay=
side of Leadbetter Point would be fun to explore for soundscapes. The trai=
ls into the interior of Leadbetter Point are often still flooded this time =
of year, but the seasonal bogs in the woods could provide interesting sound=
scapes.
I camped at Cape Disappointment last spring, and for natural soundscapes it=
was a disappointment - with noise all day and night from idling ships wait=
ing their turns at the Columbia River Bar.
