Thanks very much for the excellent advice and ideas. One thing I love about=
 that entire area is generally lower jet traffic overhead.
I went to REI to pick up some maps and brainstormed a bit with one of the e=
mployees. I'm thinking I might be able catch up with some migrating shorebi=
rds on the east side of the Long=A0Beach Peninsula (at the SW corner of Was=
hington). Perhaps I could get away from the ocean sounds. HWY 101 is just a=
 few miles on the other side of Willapa Bay, so we'll see. The folks we are=
 staying with might be able to get us permission onto some private roads an=
d land. Of course it's Memorial Day weekend so lots of folks will be out an=
d about.
