I' ve used the R-4,=0D
that as fas as I am concert uses preamps not as good as the R-44=0D

anyway,=0D
I' ve used it in combination with rode NT-4/NT5 and with custom hydros=0D

generally speaking I was more or less satisfied, but its pre-amps are
a bit noisy ..=0D
If you really need 4 channels,=0D
there is no other choice actually that costs less than 2000e...=0D
so you have to compromise..=0D
