actually, one of those things never mentioned in discussions of audio bandw= idth is air absorption. even if the mic could pick up 40 khz, and the sourc= e was radiationg 40 khz, it would be absorbed much more than a signal at 4 = khz.=C2=A0air (especially humid air) is a very good low pass filter! and na= ture recordists rarely record very close sources umashankar =C2=A0i have published my poems. you can read (or buy) at http://stores.lul= u.com/umashankar |
