Lots of info in our archives.  Common query.  If you want a specific respon=
se, let us know budget, purpose of recording, etc.  There are a plethora of=
 recorders, mics, etc on the market.  Oryoki do you have your superb list o=
f low-budget recorders?

At this point I'd suggest going with a flash or disk recorder and not a min=
idisc....if only so you don't have to spend time loading the tracks into th=
e computer to work with them.

And hey I'll just throw this out there...I saw when recently joining anothe=
r yahoo group, it's possible for us to make a document or several documents=
 that are automatically emailed to a new member when they join.  This would=
 be a great opportunity for a FAQ or a primer on recorders, etc.
