I sewed together some faux fur so they fitted snugly over the foam windshie= lds that are supplied with the mic's and I was quite surprised how effectiv= e they were. They have allowed me to record in fairly blustery conditions, = anything more and I don't think I would have wanted to record anyway. Altho= ugh I also made up some much larger faux fur 'socks' that will fit over eac= h microphone and it's barrier, with both on I don't think I would want to b= e out in the wind that got through that! :-)) But I usually just go with th= e fur covers over the foam windshields. Beware of the bass cut switch it ca= n pay to put a bit of tape over that as well. Will you be using them fixed to a barrier? As that also helps to reduce the= impact of wind on the capsules I have found. Phil PS My sewing won't win any competitions but it does the job! |
