I like that idea of surgical gloves. The nitrile ones are typically more durable than latex. I will start keeping a pair in the recorder bag for mosquito emergencies. John, you are right about the sweat factor: personally I can't stand wearing them for much more than half an hour. In the past I just wore poly-pro liners and was happy enough until recording in a couple extremely nasty mosquito areas last summer. Now my gloves of choice are goat skin work gloves. They are supple enough to operate my recording gear, and comfortable enough to wear all day in any climate - the best $20 I spent all year. John Hartog |
