The only thing I'd be worried about is that surgical type gloves do not breath. You can end up with very sweaty hands if you're in a warm enviroment. A friend of mine was giving the final spray coat to his Lotus Elan restoration project and had his hand slightly higher than it should have been. The nice final coat of paint got a large drop of sweat on it from the inside of the glove. Our local 'anti-cancer' shop sells a glove that is made of Lycra (or similar) that has a fine leather non-slip palm area. These are light, cool and UV resistant. Just a thought to consider.
