First, Hi everyone! I'm Sean and I'm from Austin, Texas. I've been a member=
for about a week on here and have enjoyed the mails.

Valerie,

I own the Edirol 09HR and find it absolutely amazing and perfect for my han=
d. I considered the Zoom H2 because of the XLR inputs but I learned and hea=
rd samples of how noisy the pre-amp can be. Do you have a particular type o=
f nature you're interested in recording?
Since you're on a budget, I would just get the recorder (whichever) and wal=
k around with it just to get the auditory side of you interested in recordi=
ng. Perhaps you'll find it boring and uninteresting. It would really be ter=
rible for you to spend $600 on stuff you won't enjoy. Take your time buying=
and collecting gear. I find the Sound Pro binaural mics and the 09HR are g=
reat combination! http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-TF=
B-2
I own both the high sensitivity and normal sensitivity ones and find it a v=
alue.

Good luck,
Sean
