Raccoon raiding a raven's nest? > >-Dan Dugan Hi Dan-- The Raccoon screeches I've heard start out about the same pitch but they quickly accelerate to higher pitches. The extended section in the middle does sound like the ruckus of a couple or more Ravens. Rich Peet has a recording of a Gray Fox that has a lower pitch screeching-growl that sounds similar to the critter with the mammal voice. A tree climbing predator could be after eggs. Is it likely Ravens would be nesting at the time of year this was recorded in Pinnacles? Rob D. -- |
