Lou, I have two of the AT822 and I use them with two Sony MD recorders and loan them out to people and whatever. They work reasonably well, but the response is nothing like the DPA 4006s. My old AKG C451s sound better, as do my Sennheiser MKH416s, but nothing beats the convenience of the AT stereo mics for quickie oral histories--they are very good for the price. I don't use them much any more. They are not as quiet as the other mics I have. The Neumann TLM103 is the quietest I have...but I only have one. Cheers, Richard Richard L.
