Hi Martyn,

How about audacity? http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I use it with Ubuntu Studio / Laptop and on my iMac.
btw, Multichannel export is a preferences option otherwise it will downmix to
stereo, took
me a while to figure that one out :-)

I used it to copy the stereo tracks from three separate recordings. I then copy
pasted each
one to create a single six channel wav file. This was then opened in Baudline
for analysis.

e.g entry below showing relevant differences in stereo spread for internal mics,
jecklin disk and binaural mics/earphones.
