reverse engineering (copying patents by implementing workarounds)  
happens with many corporate manufacturers
if I were to boycott all products made by unethical companies (i.e.  
exploited workers in China) I'd never leave the house
business is by nature unethical
lower-quality? this has not been my experience with the Behringer  
mixers I've worked on
I'm still curious if others have used this particular mixer in the field
it is a little on the big side: about the size of a sheet of US
