when I was running Silent Records we received a lot of promo CD's for possible distribution one such CD was 'Dawn Chorus' by Gordon Hempton it was not carried and thus tossed into a recycle bin -- I salvaged it due to a curiosity of his recording techniques I recently found it in my archives and pulled it out for a listen so I was wondering if anyone on this list knew about his recordings and whether or not his recordings were 'composed' they sound like they were to a certain extent also, any comments on the stereo imaging on 'Dawn Chorus'? he used a binaural dummy head microphone |
