Interesting that these two threads are happening at the same time. Becaus= e both subjects involve the directionality of "omnidirectional" mikes at high= er frequencies. The original Decca Tree used small diaphragm omnis (Neumann = M50 capsules), and its sense of spaciousness derived from that variable directionality with frequency. ************** It's only a deal if it's where you want to go.
