yes and was also something I mentioned to Avantone in my email
that while the ck-1 look promising they looked like 'studio mics' or
'taper stand mics'
and wondered how they might withstand the rigors of outdoor use i.e.
humidity, cold, pollution, constant jostling, being dropped etc.
I asked if it might be possible to make a ck-1 that might be more
outdoor friendly
or even a stereo multi pattern like their ck-40 -- which looks very
tempting at $600 and 17dBA of self noise
no answer as of yet...
