Over coffee the other day, a group of us were discussing the piracy of music & software via downloads etc. I asked a group of 'younger' people at the next table a series of questions as follows Q. If a friend bought a song via iTunes, would you ask him for a copy? A. Yes Q. If a friend downloaded a pirated copy of some music or software, would you ask him for a copy? A. Yes Q. If a friend bought a CD from a store, would you ask him for a copy? A. Yes Q. If a friend stole a CD from a store, would you ask him for a copy? A. Maybe. Q. Would you steal a CD from a store? A. Definately not! Interesting mental exercise you should try on people you know. |
