Really good, if a little scary.

Subject: [Nature Recordists] Beehive yourself

My Olympus LS10 arrived. For its maiden voyage, I selected a vibrant, bustling
beehive that recently appeared in the base of an old bay tree in my back yard.
With a large binder clip I secured the LS10's strap to the end of a 15-foot pole
used for window washing, and then bravely dangled the recorder in front of the
main entrance to the hive. The recorder was not attacked, so the warranty should
still be good. You may be able to detect some Swainson's thrushes in the
background. Recorded at 44.1khz/24b, high sensitivity, no low cut filter. The
only processing of the file uploaded to Naturerecordists was downsampling to
128kbps mp3. Warning: not for melissophobes!
