Subject: [Nature Recordists] Iroquois NWR recordings

Hi All,

I spent the later part of a day and evening last holiday
weekend, at a refuge located within the township of Alabama, in
Western NY. I recently uploaded several recordings to the Freesound
Project to be included with my sample pack titled "spring 2008". The
first was just before dusk with the focal point being a male Downy
Woodpecker softly foraging around in front of me. The recording and a
more detailed description can be heard at:

The other recording was a segment from a much longer one, done after
dark next to a pool and swampy area loaded with Gray Treefrogs, some
Green Frogs, and a few early Bullfrogs:

As always, comments and feedback are appreciated.

Enjoy !

Bill
