Hi Michael, I don't think there is a recommended 'service life' of those bands. I had a Rycote with the same bands for many years. Heck, I know people with old elastic style Rycote suspensions that haven't changed it in 20+ years. I think the new silicone bands should be really durable. If you buy replacements from Rycote, expect to pay way too much, like $5 a piece or something outrageous. You can buy the equivalent O-Rings for about .10 a piece.
