I just got a Sony PCM-D50 and added the measurements to the chart at http://www.avisoft.com/recordertests.htm. As Rob already suggested, its noise performance is almost equal to Sony's Hi-MD. It seems to me that the internal electret microphones also provide a lower noise floor than those of its competitors as the Olympus LS-10 or TASCAM DR-1. And of course, the PCM-D50 makes a really solid impression and looks quite professional.
