Hello All
No apologies for posting this OT (maybe?) item.
Again, the BBC have featured a "naturerecordist" type subject on a
prime time TV show [ this time it is the "One Show" sceened at 7 pm
every weekday on BBC1 (probably the most important TV channel in the UK).
Today's programme included a short film about a family going out to
competitively view and record a dawn chorus. It can be seen by
accessing the "Family Challenge" video on
http://www.bbc.co.uk/theoneshow/article/2008/04/dawnchorus.shtml
Look out for a brilliant performance by 7 year old Emily. I see that
the family used a Sony RH1 minidisc and an unrecognised (to me)
microphone to record what they heard.
I note that International Dawn Chorus Day is this Sunday, 4th May.

It seems to me that this is a "natural" for us "naturerecordists". I
will be out recording the DC as it sounds in my backyard. I will post
my result to the Group.
Cheers
