Re: Telinga Small Capsule Mic's

That's correct, Rob, I really wanted small mic's running well with
all kinds of Plug In Power inputs, like the ones on Sony HiMd's.
And I think I succeeded in the end, by finding a special version of
the 2sk1227 which Primo uses in their 10 mm electrets. I bought a
batch of such electrets, picked out the transistor and it used only
half the current, which means that all PIP inputs were sufficient.

When I found this transistor, I also found a small MP3 recorder from
iRiver, which had a mic input that was almost as good as the Sony.
But all such recorders seems to be gone!!??
The newest iRiver, for example, has no mic input at all.
Apples iPod had a microphone input accessory which you could buy, but
also that one seems to be gone.

The mic input of Edirol R-09 is too noisy and insensitive, and the
Zoom models have only balanced inputs.
And - I fear - Sony's HiMD are outgoing...

Or am I wrong?? Are there any flash card recorders on the market,
with a good 3,5 mm mic input providing Plug In Power??

Klas.
