Jatinder, I posted in this thread http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/naturerecordists/messages/32098?threaded=1&m=e&var=1&tidx=1 about some cheaper alternatives that I bought this week, they are more than comparable to the Rycote I have and are very similar to the Sennheiser design. The "hairy cover"/"dead cat" whatever you would like to call it is not quite as long and hairy, but they give them away ! so cost-benefit is excellent ! I suspect they will work extremely well, but have yet to test them.
