The Edirol R-44 will have an MSRP of $895. Dealers are expected to
price the R-44 at $795 initially. Delivery is scheduled to start in
April.
The R-44 is the cheapest full function multichannel recorder
available. (The Zoom H2 is multichannel, but has more limitations.)
The R-44 will be better-sounding, smaller and lighter than the
original R-4 and a lot cheaper than the R-4 Pro recorder. I think
sales of these recorders will plummet once the R-44 is available.
