Hi Michael--
As you are probably aware, such prompts usually stem from an
incomplete or incorrect URL which can be produced in too many ways to
bother crying about.
You many not need this info, but here's a surefire way to find the posted file:
(1) Determine the name of the posted file. Look at the long string
of characters that makes up the "URL." The name of the actual posted
file follows the last backslash "/" in the URL. In Bernie's case the
file's name is, "Killer%20bees.mp3" Remember or jot down the file
name. "%" = "space" in server parlance.
(2) There should be a set of links at the bottom of each email/post
from the Yahoo that looks like this:
<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/naturerecordists/post;_ylc=X3oDMTJxMm9pMW9pBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzIxMjY4NjAEZ3Jwc3BJZAMxNzA1MDgzNjYzBG1zZ0lkAzMxNjI5BHNlYwNmdHIEc2xrA3JwbHkEc3RpbWUDMTIwMTk3ODcyMQ--?act=reply&messageNum=31629>Reply

Click on the "Files" link, log onto your Yahoo account and look for
the file name you jotted down in the alphabetized list.
If you find this to be slow, you're in good company.
Why is it shorter sometimes? If you happen to be already logged into
your Yahoo account and the link has not been broken, the posted link
_can_ take you to the mp3 file embedded in a QuickTime Object browser
window ready to play.
When folks upload the file to the naturesound archive,
http://ad2004.hku.nl/index.php , its one click from the email to the
embedded sound file 99% of the time. u s e r = nature p a s s =
sound. (If you own QT Pro [$30] you can save the file to your
computer very quickly in either file host). Rob D.
