Over the years, there's been some confusion about soundscapes in general, and natural soundscapes, in particular. The Audio Engineering Society invited me to take a crack at a peer-reviewed paper presenting an overview on the subject and to widen the breadth of subjects that normally appear in their Journal that is distributed worldwide. This soundscape article will appear in the upcoming Jan/ Feb issue. I did notice that it contains a few typos that will be corrected in the published version. But here's the text. Enjoy and kudos to the Nature Recordists group that helped inspire it. http://tinyurl.com/2ykvys Bernie Krause Wild Sanctuary POB 536 Glen Ellen, CA 95442 707-996-6677 http://www.wildsanctuary.com Google Earth zooms: Earth.WildSanctuary.com |
