I don't think you'll find a good carbon pole for under $150 unless it's used. Check on RAMPS forum for people selling gear. I have a Ktek Avalon Traveler like Aaron and I like it. It packs down super small and fits in my carry on bag. Of course it's aluminum, but it's not really that heavy. Professional Sound Services in NYC has good prices on the Ktek poles, less than B&H or other big retailers usually.
