One aspect of the PMD620 this reviewer notes is that there is a
noticeable delay to audio playback when monitoring through headphones.
This is an issue when using the PMD620 during an interview.
On the Tapers Section forum, a report confirms my experience that two
AA cells last for about 7 hours when recording WAV files. That's a
good match with the time it takes to fill a 4 GB SDHC flash memory card.
Most retailers in USA continue to price the PMD620 at $399 USD.
Occasionally an eBay seller offers the recorder for 10% less that this.
I think the PMD620 would be ideal for use with group member Dan
Dugan's recording vest. Dan mounts small Shure WL183 mics on the
shoulders of the vest, and runs mic cables to a minidisc machine he
carries in one pocket. The mics work with "plug-in" power, which the
