hello again all i'm on a project now and i need to record some quiet ambience tracks [fields, forests, etc]. problem is, i'm in nyc which is one of the loudest places i've ever lived. i've rented cars and gone upstate, gone to jersey, and headed south but i cannot seem to escape the ever-present drone of distant traffic. are there any places in this north east region that someone can recommend? anyplace within, say, within 8 hours of nyc? is there a google map or google earth project that shows quiet areas? if not, does anyone know how to make one? as a general rule, how far should one be from a highway to avoid traffic? 1 mile? 2? cheers jeremy |
