The historic Scottish Borders town of Jedburgh hosted the first Sound Cafe =
event in November 2005 and explored the theme of Community. We received a v=
ariety of works from UK and overseas sound artists. All works submitted wer=
e included in the programme, which consisted of a headphone installation in=
the afternoon and a concert in the evening. The excellent listening enviro=
nment of the Butterfield Gallery guaranteed the success of the evening and =
we were fortunate to be able to welcome artists as well as enthusiasts from=
various parts of the UK.
