Marantz formally announced their new PMD620 audio recorder in a press
release dated 10/1/2007.

A large, clear photo of the new machine can be found here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshb/1455247119/

In summary:

records WAV files up to 24/48, plus MP3
accepts SD and SDHC flash memory cards, 16GB OK

monaural mode doubles recording time

push one button to begin recording

pretty large dedicated record, pause, and stop buttons

large multi-function button for playback and to adjust volume

single LEDs for level and peak

large, bright OLED display

built-in speaker

two omni mics built into the top of the machine
mics have -10dB and -20dB pad setting available

1/8" TRS input jack for mono or stereo external mics

5V "plug-in" power available for external mics

1/8" jack for headphones

1/8" jack for analog line in and line out

approximate dimensions are 4.5" tall, 2.5" wide and 1" thick.
approximate weight 6 oz
 that's 115 x 65 x 25 mm, 170g

in comparison, the PMD660, which has XLR inputs,
has 4 times the volume and weight.

powered by 2 AA batteries
batteries last "up to 5 hours"

"skip back" function allows you to jump back 10 to 60
seconds during playback

MSRP is $400. Marantz dealers typically offer a 25%
discount, so I expect the to see prices around
$300 shortly after the PMD620 is released.

Scheduled for release in November 2007.
