It's not the color or flavor of the cable, it's the texture that the critters prefer when they chew up electrical cables. You need to change the texture. Foil Wrap, some other even more unpleasant texture, or maybe get some bandguard creme from the local veterinarian to smear on the cables to discourage chewing. It's a more effective bitter taste than any bitter spray from the pet store. Wear rubber gloves. If you want to see the effects of critters on cables, give a rabbit a phone cord, the flat kind that you use to plug the phone into the wall jack. It will look like an accordian with little nips every quarter inch severing the wires inside. They don't eat the cable, just chew chew chew. |
