If anyone on the list is interested (or know of someone who might be) in "Retro-production," I have an Otari MX5050 8-track analog recorder/ deck supported by 8 channels of Dolby SR noise reduction for sale on a best offer (plus shipping) basis. It's got maybe 500 hrs of time on it. The heads are good and have been lapped. The rubber pinch rollers should probably be replaced. Other than that the transport's perfect and it calibrates out to beyond spec. Comes with a free (unused and original packaged) 12" reel of Ampex 456. Contact me off-list, please, if your poor old heart skipped a beat as a result of this notice.
