I just tried to return a defective mic, and ran into their seven-day (!) return policy. It was, btw, an A-T 3032 that sputtered when I used it outdoors at night. Three others in the same environment were fine. I sent it to A-T for warranty repair and bought another in the mean time. That one was fine on my next night recording, so the defect rate for me so far is one in five, manageable. I proved it by having it in the bathroom when I showered, then running it down to the studio and plugging it in. Sputter-sputter-sputter. I bought the replacement from a different dealer. -Dan |
