I did a test a while back with mp2->line->NH900
and I found I could use anywhere from 20-30 with
virtually no negative noise affect. ~"24" is the
setting I typically use with line inputs. I
believe the maximum gain on the Hi-MD mic pre is
hotter than the mp2's-- in the neighborhood of
75dB (based on actual recorded output in relation
to a 722's published gain rating). Rob D.
