I really worked hard to find out where to download the ogg converter for foobar2k from. I got scads of advocacy in google, but only the fourth page gave be a hint of what I needed to create ogg rather than just play it. Maybe I'm out of touch here and everybody in the audio world breathes ogg, but FWIW to create ogg/vorbis for foobar2k you need something called oggenc http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Oggenc Ogg seems to struggle for mindshare. If the community had less carping about other people's codecs and a bit more this is how you make this happen that could only be for the good! |
