<Thank you Martyn,
I definitely enjoyed these and the other sound clips on your site. How
ever did you get that fantastic cheetah recording?
And your hurricane clip really captured my imagination. Talk about raw
power! There's something deeply thrilling about such brute force that
cannot be contained or controlled. And such a clean recording of it,
too!
Thanks again,
Curt Olson>>>
Thank you, Curt and all the others for the kind words and appreciation.
The cheetah was recorded with long, long cables believe me, we did it at
night after setting the equipment out in the afternoon, there were no night
vision to use only torches, I was told by the warden that some cheetahs
chose a particular place to be at certain times of the day and after 4 days
and nights, bingo!
This sound was used in a documentary for the BBC back in 1997, Recorded in
the eastern cape of South Africa...
Some of my other sounds can be heard here.. http://www.shamwari.com/
By-the-way, this is also a great place to stay if you ever get down to Sout=
h
Africa..
