http://www.rockscallop.org/ear/jh_070519-0455_can-geese.mp3 3MB, 3:25min, 128kbps MP3 Recorded with two Rode NT1A microphones, a Rolls PB224 phantom power supply, and a Sony RH10 HiMD recorder. Mics head spaced slightly angled ~20deg, with circular wedge barrier. Location: White River Wildlife Management Area. More information found here: http://www.dfw.state.or.us/wildlifearea/whiteriver.htm On the eastern slope of Mt Hood where the forest gives to arid grasslands is an interesting blend of pine, oak, and high desert grasses and sage, and not too much human noise in the wee hours. I will have to return. John Hartog |
