Subject: [Nature Recordists] File uploaded-Purple Finch

I just uploaded into the Files\Member Files area of the group a
recording I caught with the Olympus DS2, a quick and dirty
documentation recording (DS_20218PUFI.mp3.
http://tech.
<http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/naturerecordists/files/Member%20Files/>
groups.yahoo.com/group/naturerecordists/files/Member%20Files/

It sounded to me like the Purple Finch (in my backyard, along with
all the other noise including my own) was throwing some mimicry in,
but I know that the Lesser Goldfinches have been doing that. There is
a faint House Finch in the background as well. Part of the reason I
think it is the Purple Finch doing that is that it also throws in
"hee hee hee", which I know they do. But I've never heard a PUFI do this.

Could someone take a look at the file and see if you can tell for
sure whether it is the PUFI performing the mimicry?
Thanks.
